I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #108113, conveniently located in Westlake Village, providing services to clients near Thousand Oaks, Calabasas, and surrounding areas, as well as online. I specialize in helping teens and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, communication, marriage and relationship issues. I am passionate about my job because I get to help people who have difficult problems take the necessary steps to make their lives and relationships become better, more productive, and easier.
While many therapists remain passive, I take pride in taking an active role throughout the therapeutic process, joining in and collaborating with my clients rather than being a quiet participant. I believe that direct feedback is an essential component in helping facilitate change in a safe environment, while still honoring and respecting every client’s boundaries. I have seen lives change through therapy and I am committed to helping facilitate that change for you. In my therapy practice in Westlake Village, I specialize in psychotherapy with adults, couples, and families focusing on but not limited to marriage and family therapy, anxiety, depression, communication, stress management and more.
I also love working with teens and young emerging adults. We focus on developing autonomy and independence, building self esteem and confidence, and working on managing stress, anxiety, depression, and many other emotions that may come along during this pivotal time in their lives.
I use a variety of approaches to address my clients unique needs. Many successful treatment plans will utilize a foundation of many different models of therapy such as cognitive-behavioral, family systems, integrative, interpersonal, solution-focused, then quickly move toward a tailored treatment plan and approach that includes tools to help sustain the growth experienced in regular therapy.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development, Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University. My graduate work was completed at California Lutheran University where I completed a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
