Therapy can absolutely help you cope with uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, distressing symptoms, and unwanted behaviors. But it has the potential to be much more than that. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, relationship issues, communication difficulties, perfectionism, self-criticism, and low self-esteem.
Teenagers have unique needs when it comes to counseling. At different ages, we pass through distinct developmental phases with specific tasks, capabilities, and limitations.
I have a particular interest in helping adolescents and young adults navigate important life decisions and transitions related to: developing autonomy and independence, building self esteem and confidence, and working on managing stress, anxiety, depression, and many other emotions that may come along during this pivotal time in their lives.
