Couples Intensives for your clients.

A focused half-day for a couple in your care. Then they come back to you.

Every therapist has a couple like this. They are committed, they show up, and the same pattern keeps running. Fifty minutes ends just as you reach the part that matters, and the week in between undoes some of it.

An intensive gives that couple three uninterrupted hours on the one pattern. It adds to your work. It does not replace it.

How it works

1 · We speak. With the couple's written consent, you and I talk for 15 minutes. I'll ask one thing above all: what is the one pattern you'd most want us to work on?

2 · The half-day. I speak with each partner privately first. Then three hours together, in my Encino office or online.

3 · They return to you. Within a week the couple receives a written summary. With their consent, so do you.

Who it suits

  • A couple who has reached a plateau in weekly work
  • A couple caught in one recurring fight
  • A couple facing a decision with a deadline
  • An individual client of yours whose relationship is what keeps them stuck. You see one partner; I see the couple for a half-day.

What you can expect from me

  • Your couple stays your couple.
  • You hear from me before and after, with their consent.
  • A clear written summary you can build on.

Questions therapists ask

Will you take over my couple?
No. An intensive is one focused block. Your couple stays your couple.

I see only one of them. Can I still refer?
Yes. You keep your individual client; their partner joins them for the half-day.

Who should I not send?
A couple where there is violence or fear, or where one partner is in crisis.

What does it cost?
Fees are shared when we speak. Intensives are private pay.

How to refer

Please do not send client names or details through this website or by email. Call me at (818) 652-3495, or have the couple book their own complimentary 15-minute call. We exchange information only after they have signed a release.

Begin with a conversation

A complimentary 15-minute call is the first step. We'll talk through what's happening between you and whether an intensive is the right fit.
