The conversation your family keeps not having.
A private, facilitated half-day for a family facing a decision it can't keep avoiding.
Someone in every family ends up carrying it. The parent who needs more care. The estate nobody wants to discuss. The business, and who takes it on. You've tried raising it. It ended in silence, or in the same argument.
A family meeting gives it one protected block of time, with someone in the room whose only job is to keep the conversation honest and moving.
How it works
Before. I speak with each person privately, so everyone is heard before you are all in the same room.
The day. A half-day together in my Encino office, online, or in your home. We name what needs deciding and work through it one piece at a time.
After. A written summary of what was agreed and what is still open.
Who it's for
- Adult siblings deciding on a parent's care
- Families preparing for an inheritance or a change in the estate
- Families with a business and a handover ahead
- Parents and adult children who have stopped talking about something that matters
In English, Armenian, or both. Many families speak one language across the generations and another within them. The meeting can move between the two.
What it is, and what it isn't
This is a structured family conversation led by a licensed marriage and family therapist. It is not legal, financial, or tax advice, and it is not mediation of a legal dispute. It works alongside your attorney or adviser.
Privacy and discretion
Your family is the only one in the office. For families who need more privacy, meetings can be held in your home through my concierge practice.
Investment
Family meetings are private pay, and fees are shared on the consultation call.
Begin with a conversation
A complimentary 15-minute call with the person organizing the meeting is the first step.
